Hi. I'm a 37 yr old with braces on for 17 months now. I chose braces to straighten my two large front teeth that were turned in slightly with an overbite. One premolar was removed to create space. My canine has been moved next to my 2nd premolar and now my front four teeth are being moved back and to the right to close the space. The problem is that now my teeth are no longer centered to my lips. The response I received was that they are being centered to the tip of my nose and chin and that they were not centered to begin with. But they certainly were centered to my lips. When I speak (mouth opened slightly) people have commented that my teeth are shifted to far right. The teeth need to move further right to close the gap. I'm devasted and feel I look very foolish. Will my lips eventually center with my teeth or did I spend a large sum of money to correct one problem and create another?
